I've been trying to explain to the people I know, why this show is worth my new obsession with it. (My obsession lasting the 16 days it took to watch it... 16 because the defenders dropped in the middle of it). So far, I've converted no one, so it's a little like screaming into the wind, but this show is basically Sherlock, in Russian, less Moffet-y. I'm sure I'm missing a few cultural clues, but I love the character relationships, and the format is Sherlock with smelling rather than deducting (but still 'science' based). Even each season ends with that thing that Moriarty did that one time (spoilers) a villain wrapping a bomb around someone the Sniffer cares for, and then the detective having to fake his own death, and the villain making it look like the Sniffer was actually the criminal and the villian was falsely accused.
